It gives me great pleasure to invite one and all to join us for our 115th Alexander Keith’s Natal Day Festival celebrations (1895–2010) kicking off July 29th – August 2nd throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.

On behalf of Halifax Regional Council, I want to acknowledge the commitment of the 2010 Natal Day Steering Committee, the many volunteers, and sponsors for their invaluable contribution to make this festival happen, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Join us in celebrating our community spirit with lots of live entertainment, family events, festival tents, sporting activities – something for everybody!

Message From The Chair

It is a privilege to once again serve as Chairperson of a group of volunteer citizens and HRM Council Representatives dedicated to delivering a comprehensive and fun-filled program of activities for residents, friends and visitors - in celebration of our 115th Natal Day Festivities.

This five day festival is designed for both the young and the young at heart! From a Parade to the Sullivan’s Pond Pirate’s Day, the Mayor’s Tea Party, with numerous LIVE concerts and a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the sky over one of the world’s most famous harbours, there are lots of things to see and do for every member of the family.

I wish to extend a personal thank you on behalf of the entire Committee to His Worship Mayor Kelly, Members of Halifax Regional Council for their continued support of the Natal Day events, and especially to our sponsors, without whose continued financial support and sense of community involvement would make programming a much more difficult task.

Plan to be here for a most enjoyable five days. See you at Natal Day 2010!

We are once again excited to be part of the 115th Alexander Keith's Natal Day Festival!

As a long time supporter of civic events, Alexander Keith himself would be proud as we carry on with the tradition of supporting special events such as the Natal Day Festival. In continuing to honour his dedication to the Halifax Regional Municipality and its people we are pleased to be involved in this important event where citizens and visitors come together to celebrate Halifax during this weekend long birthday party.

The 2010 Natal Day festivities promise to be full of excitement. Join us for some Nova Scotia Good Times during the Kick-off concert at the Halifax Waterfront. As always, the fun-filled weekend will have a bang as the harbour front lights up with a spectacular bridge fireworks show.
